RESPONSIBILITY FAQs
Our commitment to responsibility goes beyond the fabric and textile space. We believe responsibility encompasses all aspects of our lifestyle from the food we eat, the supplies we use and the way we give back to our communities.
Just-in-time inventory allows you the ability to order only what is required for production thereby minimizing your contributing to unnecessary waste during the manufacturing process.
We donate it! Anything we cannot use is repurposed, reused and recycled to local charities and businesses - our main goal is to divert all and any fabric from being sent to the landfill.
No. We recycle everything we cannot use. This includes; sample scraps (scraps from making swatch cards), small cuts and damaged fabric. Visit our Community Contributions page to learn more.
If you lead or champion a fabric recycling initiative, Contact Us and tell us about it!
From the onset of KenDor's responsible sourcing journey, it has been important to us to find partners that share our commitment to improving our eco footprint. Though it hasn't always been easy, we're proud to say that we have cultivated strong, long-term relationships with mills who prioritize environmental considerations in every way they can.

Our fabrics are made with low-impact fiber reactive dyes.
The big difference between choosing low impact fiber reactive dyes vs traditional/synthetic dyes is that these dyes are free from heavy metals, chemical mordants, and AZO’s. Additionally, the dyeing cycle is shorter than for conventional dyeing processes, resulting in lower water, salt and chemical requirements.
One way to rest assured that the fabrics you buy are made with low-impact dyes is by looking for the STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®️ label, which is one of the preeminent global standards ensuring that textiles tested for harmful substances.
We are proud to offer a broad collection of STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified fabrics.
